Cape Spear

Cape Spear is a drop-shoulder pullover featuring a play of striped lace chevron and colourwork. The undulating lace pattern is reminiscent of the waves crashing and frothing against the rocky windswept coastline of Cape Spear, the easternmost point of land in North America. And the generous and wide cowl is a beautiful wind break for your neck. Knit top down, the cowl is worked in the round first, then the upper body striped lace chevron is the worked flat with some short rows at the front neck. After joining at the underarms, the lower body is worked in the round to the hem, then sleeve stitches are picked up and worked down to the cuffs.

Cape Spear is part of the Landed series, Volume 1. You can find Volume 1 here: Landed, Volume 1: The Avalon, Timeless Lace and Stranded Knitting Patterns for the Adventurous Handknitter
